The making of high quality boski
The history of boski is just as magical as the fabric itself. The crown of discovering this beautiful fabric is owned by His-Ling-Shih who was the wife of Yellow Emperor back in 3000 BC. The secret behind the mystery and magic of silk lies in the blind flightless moth known as Bombyx mori. The moth lays a few hundred eggs and dies soon after.
The production of boski fabric requires a lot of patience, care and expertise. The eggs are kept at a temperature of at 65 degrees F, increasing gradually to 77 degrees at which point they hatch. Once the eggs are hatched they are fed a special diet hand-picked and chopped mulberry leaves until they are just the right size. About a little over a week, the cocoons are ready to be unwound, they are steamed to kill the pupas. The cocoons are then dipped into hot water to loosen the tightly woven filaments. These filaments are unwound onto a spool.
The silk threads are now ready to be woven into a fine piece of cloth.

Cleaning
The best ways to clean your boski is through dry cleaning, hand washing and rinsing. It’s better to stick to one of the aforementioned ways of cleaning for long lasting silk.
Spot treatment
If you spill on your fabric, it is better to wash the whole fabric as opposed to treating the affected area. Spot treatment may lead to a faded patch on your fabric.
Drying
Silk is an extremely delicate fabric. Dry it in a shaded place and avoid wringing it as it will lead into permanent creases. It can be steamed for smoothing of wrinkles.
Storage
Once it is washed and dried, it is best that it is kept in a fabric bag.
